One thing that set the MK7 apart from other cars was the air-ride suspension. While supplying a cloud-like ride, it was not very user friendly. The main componants I will cover are the air bags (one at each wheel),the air compressor, ride height sensors, and the air lines. An important,but less repairable part is the ride computer. First, don't believe the dealer. You CAN work on your suspension. The only catch is you must BE CAREFUL! No shortcuts. No quick fixes. In other words: DO IT RIGHT!!!! I stress this because if any part should fail suddenly, you will more than likely lose control of your car. This ain't like blow'in a tire. The key to working on your own car patience. It will not be easy to do some repairs. Some may be expensive, but remember, you bought a Lincoln, no a Yugo. Deal with it. Now to answer a few questions I get in my e-mail often:
